teacher plan books and record books

Good morning,

I am a special education teacher for moderately and severely/profoundly disabled students.  I think it would be wonderful if Franklin Covey would design and produce planbooks and record books for teachers.  What do other teachers think about this?

Thanks.

GREAT idea!  I'm also a teacher, and while the plan book I have is okay, I can only imagine that one designed by FC would be far superior to all others.  If they designed one, I would be more than happy to purchase it, probably even for a little bit more than plan books made by other companies.

I am a stay at home mom of

I am a stay at home mom of three kids (12,14,16) and a small business owner.  I am tracking the appointments/activities of 5, the usual house stuff and trying  to keep my small business productive.  I expect there are many in my position.  I use my Blackberry and its reminder feature to track everyone's appointments but I am a user of paper lists.  It would be great to have a planner that incorporates both home and work tasks/lists on the same page so the two can be managed together.  I need to be able to see it to do it.  Any suggestions?

I agree with

I agree with Cedargirl...having the ability to track business (in my case lesson plans and private tutoring) and home matters in one planner would be wonderful. I do this now, in a sense, by utilizing the design your own pages, but these aren't as 'tweakable' as I would like. Cedargirl, I designed my own 'daily page' with sections for school, home, phone tasks, appointment areas that I used for awhile...and I'm thinking of going back to tweak it and try it again...having tonsd of trouble saving my info on the DYO pages...

Should FC ever design a dedicated plan book for teachers, I would GLADLY serve on that input team, as I've taken to designing my own book at this point. Chances are, its too small a market...

Bummer!

Thank you for your feedback

Thank you for your feedback on this topic! I will definitely forward this discussion to our Product Managers, so they are aware of the interest.

I am teacher who runs a sport

I am teacher who runs a sport as well and I want to be able to see my lesson plans and daqily schedule and action list on the one page. A range of educator planners would be very much of interest to me. If I could get rid of 1 of my 2 diaries and combine evrything in 1 it would be terrific.

I think the same thing. I've

I think the same thing. I've wondered why they don't. There's not much in the way of academic forms. I'm a great fan of the original Franklin Planner system. I keep everything on the same day on the same page, and everything else in the same binder. Why not? We live that way, one day, one moment at a time.

I keep color coordinated sections in my binder and save advance planner pages to put in the sections in case I want to see a seperate calendar for each project or person. I'm also a professor, so I reduced and printed forms and spreadsheets from my desktop, roll sheets, a fold-out master assignment list for the class so I could fill in grades & check marks. I used the individual contacts pages for each student I met with in office hours so I had all their info on one page, including a summary of meetings with dates, and any other important information. I used the archive binders to store these. That was really helpful, especially later on when I was asked to write letter of recommendations or evaluations. I use a special FC hole punch to fit the pages in my binder.
